  1. just go www.oanda.com , play at the game there , i warn u , u need to spend years to play the deadly game
  2. Ameritrade.com
  3. The Motley Fool doesn't do online trading per se, but it is an excellent educational tool. www.Fool.com They have a beginning investing seminar for free. They try to keep it amusing and not dry. http://tinyurl.com/g3dxs Fool On!
  4. I use sharebuilder.com. Training is minimal but scheduled buy transactions are only $4 with no minimun account balance or purchase required. The best way to learn is with experience. Start small, do your own research, never buy something because someone says "Buy." I started investing by socking $50 a month into Pepsi.
  5. Read Brommm's advice. It is good. Your other option is to invest in a decent mutual fund that allows you to invest a certain amount each month, for example. Check out Yahoo mutual fund screener and find funds with a Moringstar rating of 4 or better and with low expenses. Do not limit yourself to only mutual funds, however. You do not learn anything investing in mutual funds. You learn by investing in stocks. Sometimes the leason can be quite painful. "Trading" is not advised for beginners. It is too risky. That does not keep beginners from doing it however. The on line brokers thrive on beginning traders, and they are the ones making all the money--the on line brokers that is. Go for long term gains. They are taxed at only 1/2 the rate of regular income. That in itself is a big advantage.
