Open investment company without a stock broker license?

It is possible to open an investment company, dealing just with the stock market, without having a stock broker license?

1. yes - but only if you are trading for yourself and dont sell your services to others - in order to you must have your series 7 and series 63(not sure if 63 is right ) but its a license to act as a principal for others - in order to get these liscenses you must be sponsored by a corporation who has them already after you have the liscenses you can go on your own
